From Caudat
From Caudat is a packaging system for coffee, produced in one kilogram, 500 gram and 250 gram formats. The design replaces the usual image of coffee beans with graphic mascots inspired by ancient civilizations and by Samoan tattoo art. Yellow and black are used in measured proportion to create contrast without visual discomfort. Open space keeps the layout clear and easy to read. The packs are printed by offset and flexography on paper, aluminium foil and plastic films. The aim is a coffee pack that is easy to remember and easy to describe to others.
From Caudat Packaging Design by Quyen Vu was featured as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. From Caudat Packaging Design earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
