Shangri La

Shangri La is a packaging design for a series of three red wines. The labels use traditional Oriental ink painting textures to suggest the flow of wine and the trunk of an old vine. Placed side by side, the three packages form one winding trunk. Each package carries an animal from the producing area: a butterfly for air, a fish for water and a pika for soil. The labels are made of kapok paper with a rough surface, and embossing forms the texture of old bark. The design draws attention to traditional art and to the natural environment.

Tanaka 1789 X Chartier Sake Blend 001

Tanaka 1789 X Chartier Sake Blend 001 is the packaging for a series of sake blends. The label carries a black on black grid pattern inspired by the walls of the Tanaka Brewery, an example of Kura architecture from the Edo period. The grid is printed as varnishes around the bottle and is sequenced into a series of hexagons, a symbol of aromatic science. Black and white are used because both brands feature these colors, and black bottles are reserved for premium sake. The two names are joined in a cross pattern through a shared letter A.

Theo Rebrand

Theo Rebrand is a packaging and visual identity program for a fair-trade, bean-to-bar chocolate brand. The design uses a bold paint stroke as a window to taste discovery and as an expression of the craft behind premium chocolate. A white background suggests clean eating and purity of ingredients, and helps the packs stand out on the shelf. Bars measure about 3 by 6 inches and use a paper overwrap with a foil inner layer. Cups measure about 2 by 4 inches and use a flow wrap on a matte substrate. The aim is to link higher standards with good taste.

Toothpaste

The Toothpaste packaging design idea is a watercolor tube. It reminds the fun of choosing colors when painting. The Toothpaste is a unique combination of natural ingredients and amino acids found. Therefore, the upper half of the Toothpaste packaging is a natural expression, and the under half is a science and technology expression. It is a design that combines two different elements into one. Finally, the brand mark combines two toothbrushes in the shape of a cross to simply design the insurance oral products.

H900

H900 is a packaging design created for a hair dryer. The packaging is inspired by the high-speed motor, the impeller and the air duct placed inside the product. Complex internal circuits and air ducts are transformed into fine line patterns on the outer surface. Embossing and laser hot stamping are used to print these patterns. Combined with color films, the surface shows different color gloss at different viewing angles. The embossed lines can also be felt by hand. The box measures 280 mm in width, 102 mm in depth and 320 mm in height.
