Innovate Depict Inspire
Innovate Depict Inspire is a packaging design for colored pencils. The tiered base includes secure slots that keep the pencils arranged and easy to reach. Cushioning foam inside the lid protects the pencil tips. Indentations on the lid serve as a phone stand or as a temporary rest for pencils in use. A sharpener is placed on the back, and horizontal locking slots hold the lid firmly to the base. The graphics pair Jingdezhen porcelain flower patterns for the 24 solar terms with abstract geometric shapes and soft color palettes.
Innovate Depict Inspire Packaging by Zhu Jinliang, Han Lu, Lin Huangshan has been highlighted as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Innovate Depict Inspire Packaging received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2026. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which recognizes superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
