Meet in Arcadia
Meet in Arcadia is a brand identity design created for a rural revitalization project in Longtang Village, Guizhou Province, China. The logo is inspired by the Chinese character for beauty. Terraced rice fields are drawn in a minimalist and abstract way. Above the fields, abstract Miao village houses are joined with the strokes of the character, and one stroke becomes a roof. The identity supports rural tourism as the main local industry. The design aims to present local culture and to help villagers take part in brand building.
Meet in Arcadia Brand Image Design by Xiaoming Meng has been selected as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Meet in Arcadia Brand Image Design earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2025. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
