The Wine Barrel Xmas

It was nature that decided to design this little barrel. She organized her party and chose it to be the star. The barrel, taken out of her magical hands, was left to her inspiration and together they created the magic of Christmas. "Magic out of the Box!" The task, as simple as it may seem, was quite tricky, as the designers had to handle a very distinctive packaging design by adding to it festive elements. Their main concern was to keep aligned with its overall aesthetic idea, without deviating from it at all.

The Wine Barrel Xmas Limited Edition Packaging by Antonia Skaraki was identified as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Wine Barrel Xmas Limited Edition Packaging was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which rewards superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
