Carbon Research
Carbon Research is a brand identity created for an academic journal founded in the context of carbon neutrality. The logo combines the image of the earth with the atomic structure of carbon to express environmental protection. Line connections merge the latitudes of the earth with electron tracks, suggesting open thought and wider communication. The symmetrical and surrounding structure reflects a cohesive academic community. The combined logo is printed on journal covers and other physical media, and it remains legible at a minimum size of 20 by 5 millimeters.
Carbon Research Brand Design by sxdesign has been highlighted as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Carbon Research Brand Design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that honors outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
