Yangzi River
Yangzi River is a visual identity designed for an international conference center. The interlaced lines are inspired by the undulating waves of the Yangtze River. Silver is the main color, taken from anodized aluminum, the main building material of the center. Brown and white lines complete the palette and suggest a flowing river. The asymmetric composition adds visual tension and a sense of strength. The identity is applied to printed materials for business use. The design continues the rolling wave theme of the architecture.
Yangzi River Visual Identity by Hangzhou JC Culture and Arts Co., Ltd has been highlighted as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yangzi River Visual Identity earned the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which honors excellent design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
